Mission Statement
As a dance artist, dance is my way of expressing what words can not. It can act as a window into the artist’s outlook on many things such as society, culture, performing, creating choreography, and possibly their life. Dancing and creating dance is a way to see ideas and concepts in an abstract way and to give the audience a different perspective. I dance and create dance to give the audience a piece of my brain; to give them my outlook on the world based on my past and what I hope the future to be. Usually in weird ways, I in a way give them a piece of myself. I believe that is what dance simply is. Dance is a giving art form; it does not take. People think dance is easy, but it isn’t. It is intimate and I only hope to continue to give to others as a choreographer, performer, and possibly teacher. I want to share with others through dance myself and to learn about other people’s perspectives on life through the same process. I simply want to give.
